I think I’m starting to peak now Al

Feeling good re: preparations for the 6-hour race in 17 days - another Tuesday night circuit race tonight, and by far the best one of the season so far (previous best average speed was 21.3MPH, tonight’s average speed was 22.2MPH, averaging 88% of my max heart rate tonight).  Rode home after the race, refueled with a big bowl of high-protein pasta + home-made pesto, plus a protein bar.

That’s all the good news.  Bad news is that on a training run on Sunday, I did something bad to my right ankle.  It’s less swollen than it was, and cycling doesn’t seem to bother it.  However, running is out for the time being, and standing/walking are not fun experiences.  Ice + NSAIDs seem to be helping.
