30 days and counting
Back from a well-deserved Wisconsin vacation. Went out for the Wednesday night Wild Card HammerFest, it went quite well. Averaged 1.5MPH faster tonight than the last time I did the Wedneday night ride (tonight my average speed was 20.5MPH over 40.5 miles, last time was 19MPH over 49 miles), managed to hang with the main pack much longer than last time. Max heart rate during the ride was 189, averaged 151 (80% of my maximum heart rate) over the course of the ride, felt pretty good (relatively speaking) at the end.
Just finished a dinner of an Indian vegetarian cutlet, veggie burger on sprouted grain bread, and a big bowl o’ Wisconsin cheese curds, now heading for a cookie, cup of tea, and sleep. My new nutrition plan is as follows:
- If it’s not nailed down, eat it. Especially after cycling.
- If it is nailed down, give me a pry bar.
