crash + 6 days

Elbow’s pretty much completely healed.  Hip, not so much.  I tried doing a medium-pace interval ride yesterday morning, which actually felt pretty good, but I was completely exhausted and in a good deal of pain by the middle of the day.  I went home after lunch time and promptly fell sound asleep on the sofa until dinner time.  This morning I woke up a bit sore, although not too bad.  Managed to stay at work all day, although by mid-day, pain levels were bad enough that I was certain I wouldn’t be doing the regular Tuesday night races :(

My plan for tonight involves lying on the sofa with a dog at my feet and a bag of ice on my hip, which currently looks like this:

Road rash/hematoma/bruise on hip - crash + 6 days

Followup with the doctor tomorrow, I’ll get a better idea of the prognosis for racing this weekend.
