Did a walking workout for 25 minutes and felt good.

Killing Me Softly
well, I think I’ve officially found one of the most ass-kicking training sessions, which I’ve titled “Killing Me Softly”.  It goes like this… Run 1.51km @ aerobic pace Sprint 100m Jog 100-200m for recovery Repeat as needed/desired The insideous thing about this is that it sneaks up on you - I did 8 repeats of this today before work, and didn’t feel too beat...

This is the third year I’ve run Chicago.  In 2006, I ran an 8-hour ultra in mid-August, did a 6-hour cycling time trial in early September, and then ran the Chicago Marathon in cold and rainy weather.  I finished in 4:10:07, somewhat hypothermic.  In 2007 I spent the summer training for both the 6-hour cycling time trial and the Chicago Marathon.  I dealt with a fairly bad injury in the...

Great video - some terrific footage of the McNaughton course from last year, when I dropped after 30 miles.  I’ll be back next spring, and I’ll be doing 100 miles come hell or high water.
