1st day of carb depletion
10 mile run this morning, followed by low-carb brunch, nap, protein shake, errands, mowed the lawn wearing a 20 pound weight vest, low-carb dinner out. 35.2g carbs total for the day. Red warrior needs sleep badly.

Definitely on the mend - ran the Chicago Half Marathon in 2:05 with only a little pain, and did mile repeats yesterday (7:12, 7:13 and 7:15 with 3:40 rest periods). Mile repeats were definitely slower than pre-injury, but I’m getting better. At this point (knock on wood), I think I should be able to run the Chicago Marathon, although it may have to be at a slower pace than originally...

Post-race meal
Roughly 5:30, 86 miles, hilly near the beginning, hilly at the end, still recovering from a torn abdominal muscle. Less miles than I’d hoped for, but all in all, pretty happy.
