Feeling pretty relaxed - I’m packed for the Chicago Lakefront Ultra, and am taking off for my train shortly. Will update blog via twitter during the race, if possible. I’m amused to have discovered that if I finish the 50M before the cut-off, I’ll be qualified for Western States. Not that I’m planning on trying to go next year, mind you….

Dinner
Stir-fried purple broccoli, onion, and greens 2 fried eggs 2 oz beer bread 1T Barlean’s Greens Cabbage w/ balsamic vinegar and Hawaiian black salt 1 cup Rishi Pu-erh ginger tea
Lunch
Lunch consisted of: 4oz beer bread 1/4c hummus 1T flax oil 8oz GT’s Kombucha Mid-afternoon snack of: 11oz container of Chocolate Milk flavored Muscle Milk

Breakfast
Up at about 6:00am, 1 cup of Pirhana Mate, 1 T L-carnitine, 45:00 tempo ride. Breakfast was: 1/4c Udi’s Hawaiian Granola 1c soy milk 1c Naked Green Machine w/ 1T Barlean’s Greens 2oz beer bread (made w/ Baltika 6 Porter and Great River Mills Sunflower Millet Blend) Mid-morning snack of: 8oz Stonyfield Farm Raspberry Soy Yogurt 8oz GT’s Kombucha 16oz chamomile tea
I love the smell of ProLink in the morning I love rides before work fast enough to get covered in sweat even though it’s only in the low-mid 50s out and I’m not wearing leg-arm warmers. I love freshly ground coffee.

Made brunch after my run this morning - home fries made with the leftover pork side from Friday’s dinner, onion, and the rest of the Peruvian potatoes, fried egg, and coffee (53x11 Early Break) w/ maple syrup and cream.
